Dr G Sarwar Chaudhry has trained in Australiato become consultant pulmonologist. He has worked there as a consultant pulmonologist for a few years before migrating back to Lahore. He is one of the best pulmonologists, chest or lung specialists in Lahore at present.
He graduated from best medical school in Pakistan, King Edward Medical College Lahore. He migrated to Australia for postgraduate studies. He worked across many large tertiary care hospitals. After passing fellowship exam in in first attempt, he pursued subspecialty training in General Medicine followed by advanced training in Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine.
He worked as a consultant in a large tertiary care hospital and taught pulmonology to advanced trainees along with the embarking educations to medical student from University of Newcastle New South Wales, Australia.
He is a member of Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand (TSANZ) and has been a in administrative roles/convener and chaired many sessions in its annual conference. He is also a member of European Respiratory Society (ERS) and CHEST society in USA. Due to the exceptional educational and research background, the College of Chest Physicians, USA, has bestowed upon him honorary Fellowship of College of Chest Physicians. He remains active academic member of University of Newcastle, NSW, Australia.
He has a special interest in interventional pulmonology including bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), chest ultrasound, diagnostic aspiration of pleural fluid, drainage of pleural effusion, lung biopsies including transbronchial lung biopsy and lung lavage.
