Reactions are usually read about 15 minutes after application. Allow additional time for the consultation, preparation and discussion.

Allergy immunotherapy in Lahore
Could treatment target your underlying allergy?
Allergen immunotherapy, sometimes called allergy vaccination or desensitisation, may reduce sensitivity to a clinically relevant allergen in suitable patients.
Available for selected patients
This is a long-term treatment, usually lasting at least three years. Suitability depends on your symptoms, test results, asthma control and other health factors. Benefits, risks and the treatment schedule are discussed before starting.
Some other preparations may be specially ordered after assessment and can take additional time to obtain.

Do I need an allergy test before seeing the doctor?
No. Start with a consultation so that your history can guide which investigations, if any, are appropriate.
Do you offer blood allergy testing?
The clinic performs skin prick testing. RAST or allergen-specific IgE blood testing is not performed within the clinic; your doctor can advise about an external laboratory when needed.
Should I stop antihistamines before my appointment?
Antihistamines can affect skin prick results. Contact the clinic in advance with your medication list for instructions. Do not stop prescribed medicines without medical advice.
Does a positive food test mean I must avoid that food?
A positive result alone does not confirm food allergy. Your doctor needs to relate it to your reaction history before advising on avoidance.
Is allergy vaccination suitable for everyone?
No. Immunotherapy requires a clinically relevant allergy and an individual assessment. It is not a guaranteed cure, and asthma should be controlled before treatment starts.
