Dr G Sarwar Chaudhry has trained in Australia to become consultant pulmonologist and sleep physician. He has worked as a consultant for five years before coming back to Lahore. He is one of the best sleep physicians in Lahore at present. He performs diagnostic sleep studies using very advanced European equipment in his sleep clinic at Australian Polyclinic, DHA Phase 5, Lahore. Sleep clinic has facilities to do overnight oximetry’s too and provides treatment for sleep related breathing disorders (OSA) with CPAP and BiPAP machine.
He obtained his medical degree from King Edward Medical College Lahore. He went to Australia for postgraduate studies. He worked across many large tertiary care hospitals. After passing fellowship exam in in first attempt, he pursued subspecialty training in General Medicine followed by advanced training in Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine.
He worked as a consultant in a large tertiary care hospital and taught pulmonology to advanced trainees along with the embarking educations to medical student from University of Newcastle New South Wales, Australia.
He is a member of Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand (TSANZ) and has been a convener and chaired many sessions in its annual conferences. He is also a member of European Respiratory Society (ERS) and CHEST society in USA. Due to the exceptional educational and research background, the American College of Chest Physicians, USA, has bestowed upon him honorary Fellowship of College of Chest Physicians. He remains active academic member of University of Newcastle, NSW, Australia.
As a sleep physician, he provides diagnostic services regarding different types of sleep apneas and other sleep disorders. He has set up very modern sleep lab using European diagnostic equipment.
