Common questions

Do I need an X-ray or MRI before my appointment?

Bring any imaging and reports you already have. Do not arrange new imaging solely for this visit unless your referring clinician has advised it; Dr Usman can assess whether further tests are useful.

Does joint pain always mean I need surgery?

No. Treatment depends on the cause of your symptoms, your daily activities and what you have already tried. The consultation can cover non-surgical options and when an operation might be worth considering.

What should I bring?

Bring previous X-rays or scans with reports, a list of medicines, earlier prescriptions, operation records if relevant, and any referral. Tell reception if you need help with access to the first-floor clinic.

Where are consultations and operations held?

Consultations are at Australian Polyclinic in DHA Phase 5. Dr Usman operates at Farooq Hospital, DHA, and Kazi Hospital, Lahore. If surgery is recommended, the hospital and arrangements will be discussed with you.

When is Dr Usman available?
